I founded a bug relative jquery with hidden elements. In my example, my custom select was inside a hidden content and its height was "0". And inspirated by http://www.foliotek.com/devblog/getting-the-width-of-a-hidden-element-with-jquery-using-width/ I decided to change the plugin.
I do this: I found any select inside a hidden parent, I show it, calculate all dimensions and I hide it again.
I guess you like this modification and include it in your code.
