Real-Time Customer Feedback Portal

Welcome to the Real-Time Customer Feedback Portal! This project allows users to submit feedback in real-time and view all feedback updates instantly. The backend is built using Node.js, Express, and Socket.io for real-time communication, while the frontend is developed with React.js. The application uses MongoDB as the database for storing feedback.

  • Socket io (backend)
  • Socket.io-client (fronted)
  • Node.js (backend)
  • MongoDB (backend)
  • Express (backend)
  • Mongoose (backend)
  • Cors (backend)

Installation

  1. Clone the repository:
  git clone https://github.com/your-username/real-time-feedback-portal.git
  cd real-time-feedback-portal

Backend Setup:

cd Backend
npm install

Frontend Setup:

cd frontend
npm install

2. Database Configuration:

Set up a MongoDB database and update the connection string in Backend/index.js.

3. Run the Application:

Start the backend server:

Go to the src folder in the backend directory and then paste the below code

node index.js

Start the frontend application:

Go to the directory of frontend folder and then paste the command below

npm run dev

Open your browser and navigate to http://localhost:3000 to access the Real-Time Feedback Portal.

Usage

Submit feedback using the form on the portal. View real-time updates of submitted feedback.
