Getting started for windows

Prerequisites

For windows all files should be included so no extra downloads needed.

You must have rcon enabled in the ark server gameusersettings.ini file. If using ASM you can just check enable rcon in the administrator section.

For tribe logs to work you must enable Server rcon output tribe logs and server game log include tribe logs in the server launcher settings by adding these tag. -ServerRCONOutputTribeLogs -servergamelogincludetribelogs In ASM you can just check the Server RCON OUTPUT tribe logs option in the Administrator section.

Installation

  1. Download the version of Cross Ark Chat that you want to use.

  2. Extract the CrossArkChat.zip to where ever you want the program to run from.

  3. If you are linking the bot to your discord server go throught the discord setup first before continuing otherwise skip to step 4.

  4. Open the folder you extracted CrossArkChat to and in the Config folder you need to configure the programs settings in the _configuration.json file.

  5. If you want to setup a badword list or word replacement then configure settings in _wordfilter.json. If you dont plan to use badword filters then can just ignore this file. Do not delete this file as program wont run if its missing.

  6. If you want to use rcon commands from discord you must set up the role names in _discordroles.json. Role names must be exzactly how they are listed in your discord server settings / role tab. This is case sensitive.

  7. If you want to use timed rcon commands you must set up the commands in _timedcommands.json.

  8. Launch the CrossArkChat.exe and enjoy.
