I'm Jacob Stopak, creator of Initial Commit which is my side gig and website that creates programming resources and tools for devs, with a heavy focus on Git.
In January 2023, we released an open-source tool called Git-Sim which allows Git users to visually simulate Git commands in their local repos.
This quickly gained traction and amassed 10k downloads in the first 2 weeks, plus 3k GitHub stars and counting.
Supporting Initial Commit will help us enhance and maintain Git-Sim, continue creating resources for devs to learn Git and programming, and develop other open-source tools and projects including Git itself.
