I'm Piper Thunstrom, a 🏳️‍⚧️ Python and game developer located in the United States' Pacific Northwest. In more normal times I do regular talks on game development, DEI topics, and the intersection of engineering and education.

I'm the maintainer of PursuedPyBear an education focused game engine written in Python. I also write utilities for game making like misbehave. I also develop small games in python that I make publicly available for other game devs to learn from.

Sponsorship helps offsets the costs of maintaining my projects (domains cost money, so does printing), but with enough sponsorship I'd love to make my open source work my full time job. I always would like to pay some of my colleagues who work on my open source projects what their work is worth, and that requires funds as well.

@pathunstrom

At $50 a month, I'll have mostly offset my expenditures for all my open source projects. From here, I can start planning expenditures to improve things outside of minimum maintenance!

I'll give a talk at your conference. I give talks on games, API design, trans issues in tech, and a few other topics. Up for discussing a talk topic that fits your conference, too.

Currently, I will only accept invitations to virtual conferences, sorry for in person events.
