I've thought to go the full Spring Boot route with this nice example - which by the way, help me get the multiple DS configuration working for JPA (thanks). The result to me seems to have two enhancements: simpler dependencies and less code - with the setup done via spring boot runtime configuration of the datasources and the provider as well.
