- Add Library Carpentry to CONTRIBUTING.md.
- Rewrite Software Carpentry home page to remove historical fluff and make wording similar to that used on DC and LC pages.

Thanks so much for this @gvwilson. I am happy with the proposed changes, with one minor style change suggested.
I think @OscarSiba should take a look and make final approval before the changes get merged.
