Lessons learned while installing:

  • The dashboards are not compatible with Kibana >= 4.0, you have to use Kibana3
  • Kibana3 is only compatible with elastic search < 1.4 so make sure you are using a supported version

From there its pretty much as simple as moving the Kibana files into your web server root directory and then copying over the dashboards included in the threatelligence into the preexisting dashboards folder in kibana app/dashbaords/. Then either run or place the cron job scripts into your cron directory and wait for the fields to be populated.

If you want to use the threat world view as shown on the this git add this to your kibana root URL #/dashboard/file/threatworld.json
