The Czech Core Metadata Model for Research Data (CCMM) is one of the main outputs of Key Activity 3 of the Czech Academic and Research Discovery Services project CARDS.
The CCMM aims to establish general elements for datasets description to be applicable in various data repositories, and to ensure interoperability of basic metadata across disciplines. The basic model will serve for a uniform search over metadata in the National Metadata Directory, i.e. it will serve as an exchange format between repositories in the Czech environment of the National Data Infrastructure (NDI) / National Repository Platform (NRP) and the National Metadata Directory (NMA).
The CCMM can be extended with subject-specific descriptive elements for use in subject repositories.
