MKS Servo42C Driver Setup Instructions for Smart Peristaltic Pumps (Up to 9 Channels)

Introduction

This guide provides instructions for manually configuring the MKS Servo42C drivers using the built-in buttons and menu system. Each driver controls one channel of your smart peristaltic pump setup. Equipment Needed

MKS Servo42C drivers (one for each pump channel)

Setup Procedure

1. Perform Calibration

To ensure your drivers operate accurately:

Power on the MKS Servo42C driver.
Press the menu button to enter the main menu.
Navigate to and select the ‘Calibration’ option.
Allow the calibration process to complete without interruption.

2. Set Mode to CR_UART

Configure the communication mode:

After calibration, return to the main menu.
Navigate to and select ‘Mode’.
Choose ‘CR_UART’ to enable UART communication mode.

3. Set UART Baud Rate

Adjust the communication speed:

Return to the main menu and select ‘UartBaud’.
Set the baud rate to ‘38400’.
Confirm and save your settings.

4. Assign Unique UART Addresses

Ensure each pump has a unique address from 0xE0 to 0xE8:

Access ‘UartAddr’ from the main menu.
Assign ‘0xE0’ to the first pump, increasing sequentially up to ‘0xE8’ for the ninth pump.
Confirm and save each address setting.

Final Steps and Restarting

Review all settings on each driver to ensure they are configured correctly.
Power off and then power on each driver: This step is crucial as it ensures all new settings are properly loaded and the drivers operate based on the latest configurations.
Conduct a test to verify that all pumps communicate and function as intended.
Make any necessary adjustments based on the outcomes of your tests.
