Jarifa defines the following entities:

  1. Supplier: an entity which owns computers.
  2. Pool: a set of computers belonging to the same supplier. Preferences can be set independently for different pools.
  3. Computer: a computer attached to the Jarifa; each one belongs to a particular Pool.
  4. User: an account on the Jarifa (usually corresponding to a person).
  5. Project: a BOINC project to which computing power is being supplied by the Jarifa.
