Easier install instructions.

Start socket service in the install process
Do the rust build in the makefile (which assumes rust is installed with the debian packages, according to the revised install notes)

Seems to work ok for me now

This now seems stable and reliable on my two Optimus laptops but I will wait a few more days before making it v1
