gatewayEdit is designed to give GLs an integrated view of their translation helps. This tool is intended to allow teams edit their resources based on a comparison of their helps to each other and the associated scripture texts. It is the tool to replace the previous stopgap measures of using the "consume app" or checking within translationCore after publishing.
gatewayEdit v0.9
The goal of phase 1 is to allow viewing the scripture and helps the way tC currently does. The helps and the scripture will be visible simultaneously and indexed to the scripture that is shown.

Scripture Navigation
Users should be able to navigate to whatever books of scripture that are available in their GLT. The Navigation should control what scripture passage is displayed and what helps are shown at any given time.

viewing translation helps
TNs, TAs, TWs, and TQs should be displayed whenever they are available for the current scripture passage. Users should be able to navigate to all of the helps for the current verse of scripture. Viewing this content will depend on the available repositories in the user's currently chosen DCS organization.

The goal of phase 2 is to allow users to edit the helps, scripture, and alignment.

Resource Editing (v.1.0)
Users will able to edit the text of both markdown (TA, TW) and TSV resources (TN, TWL, TQ).

Editing Scripture (v.1.1)
Users will be able to make changes to scripture resources within the scripture cards including text with verse ranges.

Reference Ranges (v.1.2)
Users should be able to add reference ranges to TSV resources and view the associated scripture.

Word Alignment (v.1.2)
Users will be able to align scripture texts to Original Language texts.

Add new rows to TSV7s Allow users to add and delete notes and TWLs.
Phase 3 gatewayEdit 1.3+
The goal of this phase is to add OBS support

OBS (v.1.3)
Users will be able to navigate to, and edit OBS stories and helps.

Working modes (technical requirement) (v.1.3)
Users should be able to work within various modes or workspace layouts based on what resources they wish to work with. For instance working with OBS resources should not disrupt the user's layout for Book Package harmonization.
gatewayEdit 1.4+
The goal of phase 4 to scale to a larger variety of Gateway Languages.

Search and Replace
Users will be able to search any resource.

On Demand BP validation
Users will be able to run a validation check and jump to the location of the error.

RTL support
Users will be able to view and edit text fields within the scripture helps that are in a RTL language.

Offline support
Users will be able to begin working online and then switch to working offline until they are ready to upload their work.
gatewayEdit 2.x
The goal of phase 4 is to allow users to translate resources. This goal will increase the need for a more robust submission and review process.

Submit work for review
Users will be able to submit work to be reviewed by another user.

Review changes
Users will be able to review changes in a submitted resource and use annotations to comment on the work.

Scripture context
Users should be able to view various amounts of scriptural context ex. 3 verses, 1 paragraph, a whole chapter.

Translate resources
The tC Create features for translation of resources from English source files are to be incorporated into gatewayEdit. This will allow the user to work on translating a resource and then switch to viewing or editing other related resources.

Live validation
As users edit a resource content errors will be detected and the user will be notified.

Alternate Versifications
Users should be able to view verse spans and scripture in alternate versifications should be seen in parallel.
gatewayEdit 3.x
The goal of phase 4 is for users to be able to check their scripture texts while taking advantage of gatewayEdit's other features.

Users will be able to run TW and TN checks on their scripture texts.
