You must be on ethernet or the PennMedicine wifi network to access the printers.
- Open System Preferences and select Printers & Scanners on your Mac
- Click the + icon
- Click the IP tab or network globe icon at the top
- Enter the IP address for the printer you want (see individual details below)
Ricoh Scanner Printer in Copy Room (Ricoh MP 4055)
- Address: for IP address, look for this sign next to the printer, located at 10 Gates Room
- Options: Duplex Printing Unit (yes)
- May need to download the driver from Ricoh
Brother Color Printer in Kitchen (Brother HL-L8260CDW series)
- Address for IP address, look for this sign next to the printer, located at 10 Gates Room
- Options: Duplex Printing Unit (yes)
- May need to download the driver from Brother
HP LaserJet in Kitchen (HP LaserJet 4700)
- Obsolete - will be removed and recycled
Xerox Multi-Function Printer & Scanner (Xerox C235 Color MFP)
- Address: for IP address, look for this sign next to the printer, located in the back of Pod A
- Options: Duplex Printing Unit (yes)
- May need to download the driver from Xerox
HP LaserJet (HP LJ Pro M402n)
- Address: for IP address, look for this sign next to the printer, located in the back of Pod B
- Options: Duplex Printing Unit (yes)
- May need to download the driver from HP
HP Multi-Function Scanner (HP Color LaserJet MFP M283fdw)
- Address: for IP address, look for this sign next to the printer, located in the back of Pod B
- Options: Duplex Printing Unit (yes)
- May need to download the driver from HP
To scan to Secure Share from the 10 Gates Ricoh MP 4055 Copier or Pod B HP Scanner:
- Click "Scanner" on the copier.
- Choose "Scan to Email" at the top left.
- Click "Specify destination(s).
4a. To send one time only:
- choose "Enter using keyboard"
- key in
yourpennkey@secureshare
and scan your documents - check e-mail for a link to the scanned file on Secure Share
4b. To store your address as a shortcut for future use:
- choose "Program New Destination"
- enter
yourpennkey@secureshare
under the "Email" tab - name your shortcut under the "Names" tab
- press "OK"
