What's the drawback of EIGRP?

Although EIGRP is the enhanced version of RIP. But it lacks from the OSPF model when compared on the basis of deciding the best route to reach the destination. EIGRP follows the distance vector routing protocol in which router only relies on the route provided by directly connected neighbour. On the other hand OSPF follows the Shortest Path First using the DIjkstra Algorithm which provides the best route.
