AMIGOS Mk. I and II

The AMIGOS I and II systems have been actively operational at multiple sites in Antarctica. For a good overview of these systems and science see the 2013 paper.

AMIGOS Mk. III

The AMIGOS Mk. III system is under active development by the AMIGOS team:

Hardware

  • EMAC Atmel ARM9 Jazelle AT91SAM9260 200Mhz Processor based System on Module
  • EMAC built custom carrier board "Triton 3"
    • 10 software-switched DC power outputs:
      • 3 supply voltage pass-thru (FET-controlled)
      • 4 5V regulated
      • 3 11.6V regulated
      • All can supply 1A continuous, 2A for 250ms max
    • JTAG for debug, including real-time trace
    • 4 DB9 serial ports (also with software-switchable supply voltage pass through)
    • 1 RJ45 ethernet port
    • 2 USB 2.0 ports
    • Onboard sensors:
      • SHT15 humidity/temperature sensor
      • Accelerometer
    • Onboard PIC based watchdog timer
    • 4 A/D Channel 10-bit Analog-to-Digital Converter
