Welcome to the git-workshop-W16 wiki!
The goal of this workshop is to introduce participants with little or no experience with git and github to open-source projects. Participants will learn how to submit a pull request to the WiCS undergraduate website, and all the steps required to get there. Hopefully participants will be able to expand and apply this knowledge to contribute to other open-source projects in the future.
All the documentation and instructions for what we will be learning in this workshop can be found here.
Get started with the Part 1: Intro to Git page.
The content for this workshop was developed by Fatema Boxwala and Anna Lorimer, with heavy borrowing from documentation written by Elana Hashman, Julia Nguyen and Charlie Wang.
Elana's documentation is all available in the source code, and Julia's can be found on the OpenHatch Wiki.
Technical Workshop Series: This event is generously sponsored by BlackBerry, as part of our Technical Workshop Series.
