If you need to convert decriptions/comments from JIRA datacenter into JIRA cloud you could find this project usefull. The internal format changed from markdown into adf (json like). This project uses Atlassian js libs to do the best effort conversion.

Build. Usage of local .npmrc is optional.

Run. Can change the default port.
