Warp System
Traversing large distances in the overworld can be a bit of a pain! With the Warp System however, it doesn't need to be!
As a note, you can ONLY use this system in The Overworld
To begin, you'll need to create a Book of Warping. In order to create such a book drop an Ender Pearl and a Book on top of an Enchanting Table.
POOF! you've got yourself a book!
Go ahead and open your Book of Warping and you'll see the book interface as with all books.
This interface is a shop of sorts, with things you can buy listed one per line with a price value in Experience Levels listed to the left of each entry. [00L] Recorder
For example, is free! [10L] Placer
will cost 10 Experience Levels!
If this is your first time using the Warp System, USE A SAVER BEFORE PLACING A WARP! Failure to heed this warning will result in a warp leading to X0, Y0, Z0 or the void below the world. Meaning a warp to death!
After you've saved a set of coordinates, every warp you place will go to them until you save a new set of coordinates.
There are 3 Items you can get from the Book of Warping that you can use to manage warps.
Place it down wherever you like, just like a block! It's coordinates will be saved and reported to you.
Place it down and a new End Gateway Block will be created which will take any and all entities to your saved coordinates. You'll also be given a free Remover, in case you placed it in the wrong location by mistake!
Place it in or near a warp and the warp will vanish, leaving a Warp Placer behind. If you need to remove a warp and lost your free Remover that you got when you placed it down originally, you can obtain a new one from the Book of Warping for 5 levels.
There are two flaws with this system, but they're both fairly minor.
Will be triggered when using the warps.
This will rarely be a problem, especially if you and your friends know about this. The warp items all rely on their placer (you) being the closest player to them. If you are not the closest player, they will effect who is instead. be careful!
As with a few other special features, the warp system can be disabled. Maybe you don't need it, or don't like it?
To do so run the following:
/function strawberry:gamerule/warp/false
To turn it back on:
/function strawberry:gamerule/warp/true
