About The Pull Request

Partially reverts a lot of powercreeped changes to factions / loadouts. Armour as a whole has been scaled back, making combat armour no longer the be-all and end-all of gear. The gear given to factions is less busted as a whole.

Why It's Good For The Game

Powercreep is an issue, I don't care that the rebase is soon, people still play here and they deserve to have a fair experience. This codebase has been treated like a melting pot of bad ideas.

okay, not as dogshit as i thought it would be. giving the cent a venator sniper feels a little too much tbh. it's just a better AMR. the rest of the changes are OK. can you replace the HT's melee loadout with the 5mm minigun it had for ages though, since the BAR got taken away entirely.

give the goliath melee loadout something to make it actually unique rather then just a goliath and 14mm, I will admit, 14mm is goofy and funny with the goliath but in comparison to the other loadouts, not enough to go "yeah worth"

Same goes for HP,

Why do they have a BOZAR?

Laser Minigun is stronger then the tribeam, in group combat it is, singular combat it's equal.

At the moment there are a few balances that are to put simply, cursed. My recommendation is play the factions for a short while to adjust to the play-style, player skill and then re-do the PR to align with that.

Factor in players skill rather then what appears to be based upon singular view on skill/code. Which may be good for some things, I feel like here it is not.

TL;DR

Bozar for BoS HP is bad.

Legion loadout change is mid

NCR Loadout change is bad.

Enclave buff is not something I care too much on (I don't play them enough to comment on them)

Edit: Armor change is fine, I like that B)

Yea this really seems like an enclave buff more than anything nerfing everybody else but them,

As I have discussed before enclave needs more nerfs and less buffs not because the gear they have is strong it’s actually rather balanced but because the enclave just has the worst community to balance around,

they are the most exploity, the faction with the most antagonistic background, and always seem to metarush the hardest as a faction as a whole.

Also fucking nerfing the gauss by 20 damage at that point may as well let the head paladin keep it because it will just be hot steaming garbage.

also why not let the headknight get a fucking AMR? They are the most experienced knight of them all having the most experience to weapon making surely having access to some of the best weapon making tools of their time why wouldn’t they have a good gun? More importantly why would they have an extremely outdated gun from the world fucking wars like the SKS

Read the code and changelogs properly before having a fit.

  • Enclave is affected by the Combat Armour changes. They've already had their gear nerfed substantially by other developers, the combat armour change also affects them because their armour is pathed off of CA, meaning that every role bar LT / AI / GYSGT has had their armour values reduced.
  • I'm not giving the HK an SKS. I gave them a DKS - the Fallout sniper rifle. Read the code and changelog properly before throwing a tantrum at me.
  • Stop acting like a petulant child because I nerfed your favourite faction. Your bias for the Brotherhood is as clear as day. I put them on an even playing field with all the other factions, as it should've been a long time ago. Their current buffs were a literal joke PR made by Tadano, I'm simply reverting them on his behalf.

I am ignoring any further feedback from you regarding this PR. If you can't be bothered to read before you write, then I won't entertain you with a response.

Most of these I can get behind tho the removal of the HP gauss loadout does feel a bit grudgecode like after it replaced the tribeam since the gauss actually needs you to aim, and remove the bozar from HP its bullshit. No role should start with the tribeam as it is really strong. Also what I also noticed and saying its a bit idiotic is making the vetranger pistol its own loadout when it is weaker than the brushgun one so it should keep the seq and not have it made into a loadout.

Venator sniper rifle also has the most range out of any scoped weapon. Just mentioning this as a reminder.

yeahhh. I really hate the fact the HT's BAR gets taken away and they get nothing in return. then it's given to the legion. which is funny. alongside the venator. now that I think about it, this does kind of smell.

yeah. the changes are kinna retarded and clearly made by a ninja who hasnt played in millennia. wants to revert powercreep but didnt even touch melee i dont think. if it does get merged it's gonna make shit even worse than it already is. and thats not even accounting for our new, super-buffed mobs.

Another detail I need to illustrate is that melee weapons such as the sledgehammer and power sledge are still insanely OP. They still have the ability to one-tap knock you down. It's brutal.

melee in general is powercrept to SHIT and this doesnt even touch it. some melee shit'll be able to 1 tap you now.
