Crediting Featureful SDK in your mod

If you use Half-Life Featureful SDK as a base for your mod or if you borrow some features from this codebase, it's just a matter of good manners to leave the proper credits. There're several ways you can do so (choose whichever you like):

  • Include the link to this repository in the readme file of your mod.
  • Include the mention of the Half-Life Featureful SDK in the ending credits of your mod.
  • Personally thank the author either in readme or in the ending credits.

Credits to other authors

In its turn some parts of Half-Life Featureful SDK are also based on other people's work (besides Valve obviously). You may want to credit them too.

  • FWGS Team (especially nekonomicon who maintains the hlsdk-portable repository and gathered a lot of fixes of Half-Life SDK in one place).
  • Various authors who proposed Half-Life SDK fixes (the list is incomplete): LevShisterov, malortie, SamVanheer.
  • Laurie Cheers - the original author of Spirit of Half-Life. Half-Life Featureful SDK uses a lot of code from SoHL 1.2 in order to implement SoHL entities.
  • Opposing Force entities reimplementations are based on:
    • The result of the decompilation of the original Opposing Force code.
    • Works done by SamVanheer (also known as SoloKiller in the community). Especially the reimplementation of ropes.
  • ParticleMan re-implementation is based on code by SamVanheer.
  • Rain and snow implementations are based on code by SamVanheer from now discontinued HLEnhanced project.
  • The RoboCop implementation is reverse-engineered from Poke646 by malortie and nekonomicon.
  • The Flybee impmenetation is taken from Half-Life: Invasion code.

If you decide to use the hwgrunt or babygarg models and sounds in your mod then don't forget to credit the Sven Co-op team and ask them for permission to use the resources.
