Growthcraft Grapes is a mod which adds a new totally crop to the game: grapes. It also comes with Wine-making.itemGrapes.png
Grapes a randomly dropped by destroying vines. They can be eaten restore 1 x hunger.png or crafted into seeds to cultivate/farm them. They can be also found at ready-made vineyards in villages.

Grape seeds can only be planted on tilled field. Their growth rate is affected by the number of crops and farmlands surrounding the grape vine in a 3x3 area, much like a regular crop (wheat, potato, carrot, etc.). Refer to the official Minecraft wiki for more information: Growth Rate.

The grape plant will undergo four visible stages before spawning fruit-bearing leaves (as seen above). The first stage is a little green seedling. The seedling grows bigger and bears leaves as it reaches the second stage. Destroying the seedling at these two stages will drop nothing, effectively wasting the grape seed used. The next two stage makes the plant more solid (has a collision box). The third stage is a little solid trunk with some leaves on it. The plant will separate into two different blocks (leaves and trunk) when it reaches the fourth stage. Destroying the plant in these two stages will yield one grape seed.
Take note though, you can further extend the growth stages (no benefits) by increasing the rope's height from one to two blocks from the ground. This will make it easier to harvest grapes because they will be hanging at face level as opposed to feet level.
To reach the fourth stage, the plant is required to have rope blocks above it for it to 'crawl' into. Once at fourth stage, the plant will then proceed to randomly spawn another leaf block on it's four sides. The spawned leaf blocks will then also randomly spawn leaf blocks until it is 2 blocks away from the "root" leaf. That means that a single plant can spawn 3 leaf blocks on each direction. When a leaf block is not supported anymore by a grape trunk (it cannot find a grape trunk 3 blocks away perpendicularly), it will decay/disappear.
The leaf blocks have a chance of 16.67% (configurable via config) per random tick to create a grape (the visible grape block as shown above) below it provided that the space is empty (air). The grape (block) will drop 1-2 grapes (item) when destroyed.
Bonemeal can be applied on any part of the plant to hasten the growing process.
itemGrapeWine.png Grape Wine is a booze produced from grapes.
It restores 1 xhunger.png It also applies Resistance I for 180 seconds and has a chance to induce/increase Tipsy by of 60%.
Extended Grape Wines have Resistance I that lasts for 480.6 seconds. Potent Grape Wines have Resistance II that lasts for only 90 seconds.
Grape Wine is produced by pressing grapes in the fruit press and transferring them to fermenting barrels.
