Why do we want fieldlinguistics database, when many others exist? The reason is that the other databases were written when it wasnt possible to have a web-app offline so they had to decide either between being collaborative, or running offline. We can have our cake and eat it too, especially if we think of other data sharing software that we love. Having a list of inspiration software will make this easy to get an intuitive feel for what this project's goal is.
