The World

Martin Jakobsson edited this page Jun 3, 2019 · 1 revision

The world in Hexacraft consists of blocks. These blocks are like cubes, but with hexagonal top and bottom.

The blocks in the world are placed on a cylinder, and this cylinder is (almost) infinitely long. It is, as with every cylinder, not infinite in all directions. The cylinder has a finite circumerence, which means that if you walk around the cylinder you will return back where you started.

This cylinder is, however, not a normal cylinder. The biggest difference is that you can go infinitely deep into the cylinder, i.e. the y-coordinate has no bounds. This means that it is impossible to reach the center of the cylinder. One could even say that there is not center.

For more information about coordinates on the cylinder, see the page about Coordinates.
