Application or Organizational Partner Onboarding

Process

  1. Signs up for ProgCode Slack
  2. Volunteer staff review application
  3. Once approved, volunteer staff welcomes applicant to ProgCode and offers 1:1 through email. Also sends DM once they join Slack with offer 3a. Applicant and organization leaders may also approach a member of the ProgCode volunteer staff directly
  4. Volunteer staff has onboarding call (generally 1:1 but can be anything), collecting the following information to add to Airtable:
  • Name, Summary, Website, Type, Stack, Needs, Status, Repo, Channel
  1. Volunteer staff works with partner to determine engagement (e.g., create channel, present to community, announce, etc.)
