These learner profiles are lovely! They really come alive as people. Extra points for "mouse fecal metabarcoding" (is that a thing?) and new weevil genomes.

It might help to put short boilerplate text at the top about what the learner profiles are for, or link to Carpentries lesson handbook on learner profiles: https://cdh.carpentries.org/deciding-what-to-teach.html#learner-profiles
