Avatar Rendering with Compute Shader
- Introduces Wearable and Avatar System
- Introduces basic avatar locomotion rendering
- Avatar skinning is being driven by Compute Shader, allowing fast parallel rendering
- Introduces Cel-Shading Shader for the Avatars, provides closer relation to standard PBR format but with cartoon style lighting. Utilizes Texture Array for more efficient draw calls
- Introduces an outline fullscreen pass shader for avatar and world rendering, using normals, depth and colour to identify edges to use as outlines.
Controls
- Once inside a realm, you can instantiate up to 1000 avatars using the Avatar Debug Window
Know Issues
- Intel-based Mac have signing issues. A workaround to fix it is to run
xattr -cr Explorer.app
where the app has been unzipped - Occasional crash on world loading
