Would you mind adding a test to this file? Thanks!
Do you by any chance have a concrete scenario where we could reproduce .name not being available? Ideally we could cover the behaviour in an e2e test. We currently have a vue-3 e2e test app but don't seem to cover component tracking. I'd backlog a task to do this in the future but it'd be great to know how we have to configure the app (or a component) to cover this change.

Also related to component names, the documentation should probably be fixed. It currently lists components such as RwvHeader in the example, but components are actually named like .
I 100% agree. I was a bit on the fence if we should change the documentation or ensure that the component array is checked against the component name without '<', '>'. I guess though since Vue dev tools also return the name with <>, it's fine to change documentation. Would you be interested in opening a PR in our docs repo for it?

Well, it happens in my project that uses Vue 3 with Vite. It has some custom Sentry setup, but I've also tested it with normal Sentry Vue integration. None my my components have Unfortunately, I don't have much time to do further testing.

Thanks, perhaps that's even the current state in our Vue 3 e2e test app (also Vue 3 + Vite). I'll write an e2e test when I get some time. For this PR, a unit test is more than enough, thanks! |

In some cases, Vue components do not have
options.namedefined, but instead haveoptions.__name. Such components will be displayed as anonymous in Sentry and currently won't be matched intrackComponents.The same fix was also done in Vue devtools (vuejs/devtools#2020). In my case, the problem were components from my own project, but this change also fixes that.
Also related to component names, the documentation should probably be fixed. It currently lists components such as
RwvHeaderin the example, but components are actually named like<RwvHeader>.
