Node Controller

• ☑️ GS1Germany Node is running on our Ubuntu16 + Node Controller
  • restart tested. works 🎉
• Upstream contribution -> show our setup in contributors meeting on 2021-11-23
  • 🔲 Until then: polish READMEs etc!

  • Essentially extract docker-compose pull && docker-compose up -d docker scripts to node controller upgrade shell script
  • Cristian is working on upgrade. Problem: dpkg check hard coded in indy server https://github.com/IDunion/indy-node-container/issues/61

⚠️ Fixing current images

• Cristian discovered that the Ubuntu16 container is running libsodium18 (1.0.8) and the others are running libsodium23 ⚠️ 🎉
  • Write consensus problem reproducible with similar setup to https://github.com/IDunion/indy-node-container/pull/58
• Robin: Ubuntu 20 test image now exists with artifactory packages https://idunionworkspace.slack.com/archives/C01NPP5C25U/p1636706995043300

Security

The node keys handling is currently sub optimal (env variable). Should be improved to e.g. file based setup: https://github.com/IDunion/indy-node-container/issues/52
