Hi Everyone, Welcome to PINUS Tech (This page is a legacy page from 2021/2022 Pintech team, the new page has been migrated to notion here)!

PINUS tech is the tech division of the Indonesian community in NUS. For years, our main project has been building the website for PINUS. Unfortunately, from year to year, the website and the repo have been always changing depending on the team managing it. Therefore since 2020-2021, there has been an attempt to solidify the code-base for the PINUS website so that it is maintainable and extendable.

Currently, there are 2 main projects going on that is being managed by PINUS Tech:

  1. Lumina which is the repo for guide.pinusonline.org
  2. pinus-client which is the repo for pinusonline.org

There are other repositories too such as pinus-server which acts as the server, but currently is not longer maintained

Lumina

Lumina is a repository that acts as a comprehensive guide for high-school students aspiring to join NUS, just join NUS and also Indonesian students in NUS.

Currently, Lumina is using 👍

  • Docusaurus2 Framework

pinus-client :

Pinus client is the main repository for pinusonline.org and serves as the main platform that serves as an informative page for people who aspire to enter NUS, for people who want to visit NUS, and also for people who are already inside NUS.

Currently, PINUS-client is using 👍

  • Next.JS (Framework on top of React.js)
  • React.JS
  • Redux-Toolkit
  • Tailwind CSS

Future plans

Currently, some of the future plans for pinus tech are to expand pinus tech to make products that are beyond web applications. With more and more people expressing interest in joining pinus tech, pinus tech should be able to grow larger and create more interesting products such as

Internal tools

  • multi-purpose Telegram bot that is integrated with GitHub deployment, google calendar notification, and bug reports
  • Internal website for pinus-tech that contains style guide, internal documentation, etc

External tools

  • Extension of pinus tech that would provide a platform for job searching
  • migrating pinus press and Aksara from WordPress to pinus tech website
  • Probably create a LMS for pinus academy jr

These are just proposed features but keep the suggestions coming in by contacting us using pinusonline.org

Hi everyone, currently this is the temporary page of the wiki before we move to the internal website for PINUS Tech that we are currently doing
