Getting Started Guide for Volunteering with Kubernetes Austin

Welcome to Kubernetes Austin, a Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) supported community group dedicated to fostering learning, collaboration, and networking among Kubernetes enthusiasts in Austin, TX. This guide outlines how you can get involved as a volunteer, contribute to our mission, and help us grow this vibrant community.


Why Volunteer?

Ways to Get Involved

1. Event Organization

2. Content Creation

  • Develop slide decks, guides, or handouts for meetups.
  • Record and edit videos of meetup sessions.

3. Speaker Coordination

  • Identify and reach out to potential speakers from the cloud-native community.
  • Coordinate speaker schedules and help with presentation logistics.

4. Outreach and Promotion

  • Manage Kubernetes Austin’s social media channels.
