The settings page allows you to change the settings of the application.
- Login to Epic at startup = this will attempt to login and download any new asset information when you startup the application. This is recommended to stay enabled so that your asset list can stay up to date. It does NOT slow down startup.
- Check version at Startup = Checks the version for an upgrade at startup
- Show tips at startup = allows you to enable/disable showing the Unreal tips screen at startup
- Exit when Launching = Exits the launcher when you launch a project or an engine.
- Compile Plugins when Installing = This will re-compile the plugin for the engine you are installing it into.
- Delete extra vault platforms = This will delete any Build and Intermediates for the other platforms plugins in your vault. Having this enabled will also tell the download system to NOT download any other platform Build and Intermediates.
- Selection Mode - Allows you to select text inside the asset, vault, project, engine details information screens.
- Download Threads - The number of files that can be downloaded from an asset at one time.
- Base project path(s) = This is typically the parent directory to all your projects, it will check the sub-directories any projects
- Base Unreal path(s) = This is typically the parent directory where you store your Unreal (or Fortnite) engines.
- Vault Path(s) = This is typically any parent paths you want considered to hold vault items. Not only can you link it to the epic or other launcher paths, but you can have custom paths for your own downloaded assets from any other providers.
NOTE: You can put each path on a different line. We recommend that this is the PARENT path (i.e. the name of the folder which contains all your content of that type).
- Save = Saves the data
- Escape = Cancel any changes
- X in right corner = Cancel any changes
