Compound Discovery

The Compound Discovery NIDAP application is a tool used to keep track of unique chemical compounds created for NCI/NCATS research. Since a given research group can often use different naming conventions for the same compound (of unique structure), it can be hard to keep track of which compounds are being used in a given body of research. The compound name can also change over time and can lose its meaning. To solve this problem, the compound discovery tool was made which links all names associated with a given unique structure. This way, during discovery of a structure, all associate names can be identified and aid in the research process.
