How to add a new user as an OS Site author

You will need

• The new user's email address
• User 1 or Administrator privileges
• The URL path of the OS Site you want to modify

Instructions for Drupal 6 and 7

1. Go to Administer > Users, then Add user
2. Enter and make note of the username you select
3. Enter the user's email address
4. Enter a secure password
5. Set Status to "Active"
6. Set Roles to "vsite admin" and "vsite user" (D6: "scholar admin" and "scholar user")
7. Navigate to the OS Site homepage you want to edit.
8. Hover over the header and open the dropdown Configure link in a separate window or tab
9. This is the node edit page for the OS Site node. Select Advanced Options > Authoring information
10. Enter the new user's user name you just created, then Save
