πŸ‘‹ Hi, I’m Rachel Ka-Ying Tsui (@rachelkytsui)

  • πŸ“ Currently, I work as a postdoctoral researcher with Dr. Reiko Mazuka at Laboratory for Language Development (RIKEN CBS) in Japan.
  • πŸ“ I also volunteer at Kotoboo where we write and share science-based article and comics about language learning in childhood.
  • πŸ”Ž My research focuses on infant language acquisition, bilingualism, and cross-cultural differences.
  • πŸ“Š One thing I enjoy most about research is analyzing and visualizing data.
  • πŸ’» I code with R programming language but also know SQL and am currently learning Python. I can also write Praat scripts for generating audio stimuli.
  • πŸ—£ I speak Cantonese (native), English, Japanese, and Mandarin Chinese.
  • πŸ“« You can reach me through my twitter @rachelkytsui or my email rachelkytsui [at] gmail.com
  • πŸ”— You can also learn more about my research at my personal website.
