WAN-Tracker Version 3.0.0

Release Notes

This is the third release of my WAN-Tracker program. Although the initial script itself has not changed much since the first release, I have added many more features outside the script. An automated install script, automated and manual updating script, and an uninstalling script. I have also improved the program's logging capabilities. This has been my first real project and my debut on GitHub, so feel free to criticize me and help me improve!

Whats New?

  • AUTOMATIC UPDATES
  • Improved stability
  • Minor interface improvements
  • Improved maintenance scripts (installer, uninstaller)
  • Improved logging

Issue Reporting

WAN-Tracker is meant to be used on home servers running Linux that have a dynamic IP address. The software will send you an email with the current IP address of your server within the minute that it changes addresses. This software can also automate owncloud installations such that you will not need to update your config.php file everytime your address changes in order to access owncloud. Although never tested, WAN-Tracker was developed in a way that it should be able to run on OSX, there is however no proof of this.
