FormaVid Small Business Appliance

Build based on customized Drupal7/Roundup/SimpleInvoices Turnkey Linux appliances.

###Why? The FormaVid Small Business Appliance is built to offer what most small businesses need to get business content online for internal or external use in one easy to use and maintain appliance using a single ip address. It has a built in support tracker to help manage issues associated with content or products, as well as a web based invoicing system useful for an online business or for businesses that would benefit by generating invoices and receipts on the road for clients.

###Site Stacks The Drupal based site stacks consist of separate aggregator, article, blog, book (manual), forum, and poll components so that they can be offloaded to their own appliance or distributed across multiple appliances as needed for optimal performance. Conversely, multiple site stacks (created by an included python script) can be hosted on the same appliance and ip address to maximize resource utilization while minimizing overhead. Each Drupal component, except aggregator, has its own integrated Apache Solr search core for maximal performance and customization. Any single component can be easily enabled/disabled as well. Drupal components can be combined, if convenient, by activating the appropriate module(s) within a given Drupal site and disabling the corresponding stack component.

• Solr Admin for the administration and maintenance of search cores.

• Fail2ban activated for an added layer of protection against brute force password attacks.
• Postfix MTA for internal email, password resets, etc.
• Dovecot provided for POP3/IMAP access to email if desired.
• Webmin for most administrative duties with modules for Dovecot, Fail2ban, Postfix, ProFTPD and more.
