Scale Workshop allows you to design microtonal scales and play them in your web browser. Export your scales for use with VST instruments. Convert Scala files to various tuning formats.
The first thing you'll see is the scale builder interface. It is split in to 4 sections.
- Top bar: Change the tab to access minor functions of the software like MIDI and synthesizer configuration
- Left column: New scale creation and manual entry of scale data
- Center column: Table of tuning data
- Right column: Export your scale in one of many formats including Scala and plain URL for sharing with others on the web
The left column drop downs provides couple of useful functions.
- New scale: generate a new scale or load one from a file
- Modify scale: apply some transformation to a scale that is currently loaded
