Notes:

• Similar to ADF: helper script to generate config file

  • needs CESM root, template for cupid config file, and SP vs BGC

  • With config file setup, now ready to run ILAMB!

• Some issues with our example cases (need to regrid CLM output, latest runs might be missing some variables)

• Like with ADF, notebook links to ILAMB webpage

  • also includes some plots (recommendations to include a couple others, e.g. traffic light plot)

• Some questions about how we want to configure ILAMB:

  • use case name instead of model version as a label?
  • some config files for ILAMB are periodically updated -- we need to make sure we stay up-to-date in CUPiD
  • problematic to try to keep ILAMB up-to-date in multiple places; can we maintain all necessary files in CUPiD?

• Regridding step

  • Using tool developed by NorESM software engineer (xESMF-based)
  • Complicated in CLM because of partial cells
  • Tool as part of CUPiD?
