[08] Shopping District
Welcome to StardustMC Season 2's shopping district! You will find beautiful neighborhoods surrounding a large central tower in Terralith's Arid Highlands biome. Each neighborhood is custom themed, and is home to many different shop plots. As a player, you can explore and shop at each place, or even build your own shop! This wiki page will serve as a guide on your journey.

In Season 2, we are using a virtual currency called Starz (★). All players join the game with 100★. You can view your balance with /bal (/balance).
What can you do with Starz?
- Purchase things at the Shopping District
- Buy your own shop plot
- Buy more homes
- Purchase claim blocks
- Pay other players (
/pay [user] [amount])
How do you get Starz?
- Sell things at your own shop
- Playing (15★ per 2hr, 100★ per 10hr)
- Daily Reward (
/daily, 50★ - 200★) - Selling items at the Admin Shop
- Various contests and server events
The Shopping District is divided into neighborhoods as listed below. You can check the live server map to see the shopping district with its neighborhoods labelled!
- Flipside: West of the Tower, neutral themed with large Cherry trees (North of Flopside)
- Flopside: West of the Tower, neutral themed with large Spruce trees (South of Slipside)
- Sarc(?): Northwest of the Tower, nether themed
- Kuma(?): Southwest of the Tower, dark themed

All shopping plots are located off of a main road, such as Starboard Lane or Nigel Road. You can tell what street you're on by reading the title that pops up when walking on it!

As late-game players will quickly realize, elytra flying is disabled in the Shopping District. This is in order to force players to enjoy the area and explore shops. However, as a replacement for quick transportation, we have a subway system! Almost every neighborhood has a station.
To use it, enter the subway station, and simply step on the track that is labelled with the neighborhood you wish to visit. You will be instantly teleported to that neighborhood's subway station.

When entering a player's shop, you will find one or more Chest Shops. These are either chests, barrels, or shulker boxes with a hologram above it. That hologram will display the item it is selling, as well as the buy and sell price.

Chest shops can either buy an item, sell an item, or both! The buy price is the amount of Starz that it will cost you to get one of the item. The sell price is the amount of Starz you will get for giving one of the item to the store.
To access the shop, click on the container as if you were going to open it. Depending on what the shop owner has set, click the buttons to buy or sell the item!

- Find a plot you like! Either run around the shopping district, or do
/plotsto view all available plots with their street names and prices. All plots extend upwards 30 blocks, and downwards roughly 5 blocks.

As long as its available, the sign on the front left of the plot will say "For Sale" in green. Right click it to buy it!

While inside your new plot, place down a container (barrel, chest, shulker box) and hold the item you wish to sell in your hand. Look at your container, and enter the following command:
/ecs create [BuyPrice] [SellPrice]Replace [BuyPrice] with the amount of Starz you want players to buy it for, and [SellPrice] with the amount of Starz you want players to sell their item for.

Did you mess up the order of step 3? Don't worry! Clicking on your shop opens up a menu, which allows you to do edit your prices. In fact, here's a list of everything you can do in your chest shop's menu as a shop owner:
- Admin view (view/add to your stock)
- Toggle transaction messages (whether you get a message when someone uses your shop)
- Disable buying (make players no longer be able to purchase from your shop)
- Disable selling (make players no longer be able to sell at your shop)
- Manage admins (add/remove players to have admin access to your shop)
- Hologram rotation (rotate your shop's hologram)
- Edit buy/sell price (slef explanitory)
- Customize hologram (Make the hologram above your shop have a custom message)
- Congrats, enjoy your new shop!
A couple of other notes:
- To add a player to your shop, stand inside of it and do
/arm addmember [player] - To see your profits, do
/checkprofits
The shopping district's Admin Shop is located at Boulevard of Broken Dreams 5, right across from the mini shopping district tutorial.
To earn more money, you can sell valuable resources for Starz to the admins. Prices and available options are subejct to change at any time!
