File Format

We're using a custom file format to save the data streams from the sensors. Currently a .cdv (color-depth video) contains stream metadata, such as the name of the device,its serial number, the date of the recording sensors' intrinsic parameters etc. , as well as compression parameters, which are described below. For the RGB (or color) stream we use JPEG (more specifically turbo JPEG) lossy compression and for the depth stream we use lz4 lossless compression. To view the contained data in a .cdv file refer to 2.5D player , Multi-view Player and/or file dumper.
