This page is about the GUI of PolyVR, the sections, toolbars, etc.. There is also a description of the Editor.
Here is how it should look like:
The toolbar in the top left will allow you to
- create a new scene
- load a scene (*.pvr)
It is also possible to use PolyVR as a data viewer, just switch the project open dialog filter to Model instead of Project to open a 3D Model. A default viewer scene will be started and your model loaded into it.
- save/save as scene
- deploy scene to web
- close scene
- quit PolyVR
- about and credits
- stats
- fullscreen, does the same as F11 + F12
The left panel top most notebook has three tabs:
- the start panel contains launchers to start scenes.
- the favorites tab will list launchers to your scenes
- the examples tab will show you a list of examples to check out. Those examples are kept to a minimum working scene for a specific feature. They are an important reference when developing your own applications.
- the setup panel allows to configure the hardware setup, devices, tracking, windows and clustering.
- the scene panel allows to create VR applications, especially scripting the application logic, handling assets and much more.
The toolbar above the 3D view does:
- switch active camera
- switch navigation
- show cameras
- show light sources
- show collision shapes
- open screen capture widget
- show objects coordinate systems
- visualize hardware setup
- show rendering stats
