Governance

It's difficult to place governance on its own page since it seems like the other two, curation and dispute resolution are subsets of this overall topic. However, it may be more accurate to say that rather they both rely on a good governance system within a decentralized network.

Hard Forks

The ultimate act of governance for decentralized networks with blockchains is the hard fork. A hard fork is when two competing visions of the future of the network can not come to a compromise and thereby divide the network into two completely separate networks from a single state in the past. Let's consider fork block as N and say that the two forks share history up to block N, but from block N differ entirely and must be considered two wholly separate universes.
