Controlled Vocabularies

MOM-CA includes some controlled vocabularies to help in the description and search of charters. In the menu search > index search (http://monasterium.net/mom/index) you see the list of these controlled vocabularies (keywords and persons). In each of these subsets you find a menu on left side leading you the single entries (via an alphabe of initials or via a hierarchy of terms). In the upper part of the right pane you see a description of the term and below a list of charters, in which this term is referenced.

Index per collection / fonds

Each collection / archival fonds offers the possibility to create lists by markup. Click on the "Register" entry in the upper right corner of the entry page to each collection. You can then select to display a list of persons, places, organisations, issuers, witnesses, and roles used in the markup of the collection. After selecting the initial letter from alphabet and clicking search, you will see a list of possible entries. Clicking on them will give you the list of charters connecte. You can select three different types of lists: by content of the markup, by key attributes or by attributes with normalisations. Be aware that the content of each of these categories depends on the markup strategy of the providing archive / user.
