Introduction

Transporter Core is central to a Transporter Room. This is where the room is controlled.

Beam frequency

Each Transporter Core block has an adjustable beam frequency from 1 to 65000, included. Default beam frequency is 0, which is invalid.

Force field blocks will prevent transportation through them unless they share the same frequency as the Transporter Core.

Beam frequency is set through tuning forks. To fine tune your beam frequency, you will need to attach a ComputerCraft or OpenComputers router and wire it to a computer.

Placement

A Transporter Core can be placed up to 8 blocks away along X/Z axis from all its Transporter Scanners.
A core can be placed up to 1 block below or 3 blocks above along the Y axis from all its Transporter Scanners.

Energy needs to be provided for its operation. This can be done from any side.

A ComputerCraft or OpenComputers computer needs to be connected for controls and user interface. This can be done from any side.

When Beam Frequency isn't defined, the core remains dimmed.

Crafting

A Transporter Core is produced from 1 HV Machine casing, 1 Emerald crystal, 1 Capacitive crystal, 1 Diamond crystal, 1 Power interface and 1 Computer interface.

Basic usage

Reboot the computer to access the pre-loaded user interface.
Define a remote location as coordinates or a player name using the configuration screen by pressing the C key. See Transporter Room for details.

Once your remote location is set, you can acquire a lock on it by pressing L. Containment particles should appear progressively at both local and remote locations.

Wait for the lock to reach a good value, ideally right above 100%.
You can adjust the energy factor to boost the lock strength using the - and + keys.

Once the lock strength is sufficient, energize the Kelaptron flux beams by pressing E. Entities will be contained in while they're being transported. Moving during this time can result in severe injury!

After the transfer, release the lock by pressing L, or energize again to transport more entities by pressing E.

Player usage

Instead of entering coordinates for a remote location, you can enter a player name.
That player needs to hold a powered beacon in his hand to acquire a lock on him, and later energize him.

Remote usage

When going long distance or without any player manning the user interface, you can use a Transporter Beacon.

First, you need to assign you target by right clicking your Transporter Beacon on the target Transporter Core. The room name and signature will appear in the beacon tooltip.

Later on, when you need to transport back to that room, you can place your Transporter Beacon on the ground. As long as it's powered, it'll take control of the Transporter Core to:

  • acquire a lock with a minimum factor of 400%,
  • energize when reaching 85% strength.

Once transport has happened, the beacon disable itself. Break and place it again to reactive it.

Upgrades

Adding up to 8 Ender Crystals to the core will increase the maximum range, up to 100% farther.

Adding up to 8 Capacitive Crystals to the core will increase the energy storage, up to 400% more.

Adding up to 2 Emerald Crystals to the core will increase the locking speed, up to 50% faster.

Tips and tricks

Remote upgrades are also accounted for when transporting between 2 transporter rooms.
Renaming the transporter room will also change its signature, effectively disconnecting all linked beacons and rooms.
