Welcome to the Idaho Harvester, the University of Idaho Library, Special Collections and Archives blog. Here is where we share some of our most interesting and unique materials with the rest of the university, our regional community, and on the national stage. This platform serves as a more informal outlet for some of these materials than our Digital Collections. Be sure to look at those for more complete collections of our materials.

Through this blog, we will share images, stories, and historical narratives that have caught our attention in the daily run of our work. Some may be lengthier, dealing with complex subjects regarding Idaho history, industry, and the university, while others may be shorter celebrations of notable days, people, and events. We will also share interesting facets of the archival profession.

Both the advanced researcher and casual Internet browser can peruse through our blog posts. They are easily searchable by keywords and subject terms. Beyond that, if you want to forgo reading our posts and just look at the items that have been digitized, you can do that too.
