  • HEAL/OIDC - Dataverse doc is available. Starting to investigate Keycloak OIDC provider in front of/replacing Shib IDP for internal users. SSO depends on TBD details but could be simplified from current with new login/logout API calls in Dataverse.
  • Mentioned EasyReview in slack - don't know if its of interest directly or as an example of an app supporting an external review process.

Notes

  • Add rotation of DV releases so we don't fill up stage
  • Matomo environment variables - added some of these for To
  • Seba will hide config info for AnnoRep so that we're not exposing anything from Jenkins (Dataverse too) ... Usernames get exposed for certain requests (not identities)
  • Cost calculator on AWS - Fridays and Saturdays are spikes - two sources of backups that go into ICT
    • 250GB DV bucket
    • QDR backups bucket
    • Cron jobs are changed so that we're spreading these between days - this will show us if there is an increase in one or the other - to diagnose if we're doing duplication in some unfortunate way
    • May need to validate that this isn't because of something related to encryption that's been enabled on S3 (just a thesis for now)
  • If it turns out that it is encryption - there are a few things we can fine tune (e.g. backup less frequently for QDR infra, and more frequently for DV data)
    • A solution we could think about is Storj - which has 1/10 price of write out costs...
