Research plan for #489

Rebekah-Hernandez edited this page Mar 5, 2020 · 5 revisions

Background

During the initial pilot of Christmas trees, some customers didn’t receive their emailed permits, so they contacted the email address listed on the website. What often happened is that they entered their email address incorrectly, and they didn’t notice.

Our solution for story 489 is two sided: it attempts to 1) verify email addresses in the permit form, and then, when the customer sees the confirmation page, 2) they can see their entered email address again before downloading the permit.

Methods

  • 15 - 20 min usability tests
  • Recorded sessions, notes
  • Remote meeting

Participants

4 participants who have never tried to buy a Christmas tree from the permitting site.

Goals

  • We want to ensure that the customer enters their email address in the fields correctly.
  • We want to ensure that the customer knows to download the permit from the website in case they entered it incorrectly even after validation.
