T1 Summary and User Testing
Judging from the user responses found here as well as talking to people during Technigala we can conclude the following, we can conclude the following:
- People really liked the idea of Quantum Tetris
- People felt they learned something about Quantum
- People were confused about some of the game concepts.
-
People were really drawn to our project, no matter their background. (We hit all our user personas).
-
We believe this is because Tetris was the draw for people who knew nothing about Quantum and Quantum was the draw for people who knew about it. The mixture of the 2 ideas work perfectly.
-
People were really confused about the concepts of Quantum before they played the game. It helped explaining as they played the game. (Success?)
-
However, some people were confused about the concept of entanglement. We need a tutorial to better explain before they start explaining and/or better integrate entanglement into our game.
-
We did not get any email signups from our survey, but we got several people ranging from students to professors who were interested in our project.
- Our summary and observations accurately describe some of the statistical significant results from our project. You can click the link if you want to investigate our results further.
- Overall consensus from these results: people were really interested, but left confused (curious?) which is understandable since quantum is a very hard concept to learn in one day.
- Change the implementation of entanglement within the game
- Make a tutorial or more pop-ups on the screen to help new users understand
- Add more Quantum functionality!
Reflect on how your team is working together
-
Oliver did a really great job grinding away on the game. He's a GoDot wiz!
-
Trevor did a good job creating the Quantum endpoints, the backend, the database and connecting everything
-
Henry created a beautiful website. It got a lot of compliments during Technigala
-
We did a good job managing the Zenhub, and the Github PR's.
-
The last week was our team's peak performance.
- Everyone had their specialities, so when one person wasn't there work was stalled.
- Communication was spotty in the beginning of the term (First 3 or 4 weeks)
- We need to communicate better on what they are working on, if they are blocked, and letting know the other team members their time commitments.
- We need to have a knowledge share at the beginning of next term so that we can work on each other's work if someone is not there.
- We need to have more initiative with picking up issues without being explicitly told to.
