0.10.0->0.11.0 upgrade issues
securedrop-ossec-agent postinst throws sed "unterminated string" error. Possible root cause is that OSSEC upgrade did not complete successfully. postinst replaces hostname with IP address to work around issue that has since been fixed.
Questions:
- Are impacted instances successfully getting OSSEC alerts?
- Why did sed change fail on impacted instances?
Support meeting later today (more details in Semaphor/Confluence soon), in particular ^^
Yesterday: Investigated Xenial AppArmor rules (https://github.com/freedomofpress/securedrop/issues/3962); unable to get a working journalist reply. Not convinced it's AppArmor causing the problems, so proposing a separate issue. Still a few more tweaks warranted on AppArmor to close that issue, though.
Today: Analyzing support comms and triaging potential point release to resolve unupgraded instances.
Blockers: Ongoing kernel changes (remove wireless); let's not upload to apt-test yet, to reserve for 0.11.1~rc1.
